Merry Christmas!

The month of November was just a typical fun filled month for us.  Roman continues playing soccer and has become quite popular there.  The coaches love him and is enjoying the sport.  I can't believe how big he is getting and so independent.  He is my little man and we are so blessed.  He is learning to read and is so proud of himself.  He continues to make us laugh.  I came home the other night from a run and found him at the neighbors knocking on their door in nothing on but his pumpkin costume.  He said he was going trick or treating.  He also loves to repeat my words to Max.  The other day we were driving home and he said, "Max, mommy is going as fast as she can.  We will be home soon."  He is very excited for Christmas and says he is going to sneak down while we are sleeping to catch Santa.
Max is also growing up way too fast.  He is now standing, has four teeth, and says DA-DA and Hi.  He gets very upset and will scream at you when he does not get his way.  I wonder where he gets that from???  He loves bath time and my bathroom is always soaked by the time the bath is over.  He had his 9 month appointment and he is doing great.

Rick continues to hunt and he did get a deer so of course we had to go buy a dehydrator to make jerky. I am becoming Martha Stewart with the dried fruit I am making.  NOT!!!!  The kitchen is not the place for me.  My philosophy is if someone else already has it made, why do I need to spend the time doing it.  I definitely didn't get the cooking trait from my mother.  I would much rather clean toilets:)
Rick and I had another date night.  We ate out and caught up on TV.  So lame Right!  Well, it was quite relaxing.  I am up to 17 miles in my runs.  I can not wait for this race to be over as it is the hardest thing I have ever set out to do.  I know it will be an amazing accomplishment but January 13 can't come fast enough.  I am looking forward to the Disney vacation though.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving with our neighbors.  Rick of course made a wonderful fried turkey.  Check out the photo.  This is his turkey frying outfit.  He has worn it the last 4 years.  Pretty funny!
Some of my neighbors went with me to the Christmas parade in Raleigh before Thanksgiving.  The boys did great and Max loved the cars.  Roman was of course excited to see Santa.  We also went to the parade in our town with my parents who came to visit and had an early Christmas.  They also got to see Roman play soccer and of course bake apple pie.  My dad took Roman to the tractor store because he is "teaching him to be a farmer."

We have decorated for Christmas and Roman got to decorate his own tree which is in his room.  He just can't wait for Christmas and looks forward to finding Charlie each morning.  Our little elf is up to no good again.  Mommy and Daddy of course forgot to move him one night and when Roman came downstairs questioned why he was in the same spot.  Sometimes Charlie just gets lazy and prefers the spot he is in....OOPS!!!!  We have to keep him high this year as Max has not learned that if you touch him his magic will disappear.
This weekend we are looking forward to Nana and Poppy visiting and going to see Santa.  The holidays are in full swing and we are so blessed for all the blessings that 2012 has brought us.
We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and remember it is the season for giving and sharing joy and hope!!!!
Check out our November photos
